Remote Learning Tools: Video Curation

When teaching online you are certainly not expected to create all of your own content, and online videos tend to be the replacement for lectures. The links below are a few sources of videos that you might be able to use to find content for your online classes:

• YouTube - with 300 hours of video uploaded every minute and 5 billion videos watched per day, chances are you might find something relevant here.
• Khan Academy - created in 2008 with a goal of providing online tools to help educate students, the organization produces short lessons in the form of videos.
• TeacherTube - a video sharing website designed to allow teachers to share educational resources such as video, audio, documents, photos, etc.
• TED Talks - these conferences feature expert speakers from a variety of content areas. However, not all topics are appropriate for students, so they should be previewed. 
• TED Ed - this sub-section of TED targets teachers and students and sometimes provides lesson plans to be used with their videos.
