This week, Apple released a new series called Everyone Can Create. It is a collection of project guides that help to bring creative expression to all subject areas. The projects teach students how to develop and communicate ideas through video, photography, music, and drawing.
And, what is great for Central is that they are all designed to be created on the iPad, using free Apple-built apps (like Camera, Clips, GarageBand, and iMovie)!
Creativity has been a buzzword in education for quite a while now, especially since it has been identified as one the the "Four Cs" of 21st Century Skills. I think we can all agree, though, that having creative skills helps students to become better problem solvers, communicators, and collaborators.
Apple's project guides can be downloaded for free through iBooks (on your iPad) or through iTunes (on your computer). They introduce the language, skills, and techniques that students will need to be successful.
